About This Project

Client: Weiner Companies

Role: Content Designer & Writer

The Challenge

There was no newsletter program in place when I started, so I built the format, design, and voice from the ground up. Each month, I take a handful of forwarded emails and a few scattered details and turn them into complete, polished copy that’s ready to publish.

What I Did

I’ve built and maintained two distinct monthly newsletters, one for tenants and one for owners, on a steady monthly cadence for over a year and a half now. My role covers the whole production cycle:

Extra polish when a month calls for it. For the June issue, I sourced and wrote a local events section for Champaign-Urbana. For July, I built a turnover season feature with a custom timeline graphic, icon grid, and callout boxes.

Content gathering and writing. I take fragmented info forwarded from the client and write complete, on-brand copy every month, with no drafts or outlines provided.

Design and layout. Each issue comes together in Canva, with a consistent brand identity across both newsletters (navy and light blue palette, Barlow typography).

The Result

A newsletter program that didn’t exist before I built it, now running reliably every month for both tenants and owners, with little to no revisions needed along the way. It’s proof I can take almost nothing (a few forwarded emails and some scattered details) and turn it into something client-ready, on my own, month after month.
